Wind-eze (the active ingredient of which is simethicone) is used to treat trapped wind and relieve bloating. Tiny bubbles of gas can get trapped in the stomach and lower intestine causing discomfort and pain. Wind-eze relieves the surface tension of these tiny bubbles to ease the passing of wind and relieve pain and bloating.

Who is it for?

Wind-eze can be used by anyone aged 12 and over for the treatment of trapped wind and bloating. Wind-eze can be taken during pregnancy.

How do I use it?

For children and adults aged 12 and over, take 1 capsule with water 3-4 times a day after meals and before bed as needed. Wind-eze should only be used regularly for up to 14 days. If symptoms persist or worsen, see your doctor.

Are there any side effects?

Side effects of Wind-eze can include nausea or constipation. Wind-eze also contains glycerol which with high doses or prolonged use can cause headaches, stomach upsets, and diarrhoea.

Rarely, people may have an allergic reaction to the ingredients in Wind-eze. This can be experienced as itchy skin, rash, facial swelling, or difficulty breathing. If you experience this stop taking the medication and seek immediate medical attention.

Should anyone avoid taking it?

Do not take Wind-eze if you have previously had an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients. Do not take Wind-eze alongside paraffin-based laxatives as this can affect its efficacy.
