Oral solution that can be taken to help soothe the symptoms of a cough.

It contains the active ingredient citric acid monohydrate, which helps reduce the urge to cough and soothes the throat from any related discomfort and pain.

This product is not recommended for use for children under 12 years.

Dosage instructions

Adults, the elderly and children over 12 years:

• Take 1 or 2 x 5 ml spoonfuls. Repeat after 4 hours if required, but not more than 4 doses in 24 hours.

Do not use if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients.

Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Not suitable for children under 12 years old

Contains 4 g of sucrose per 5 ml. This should be taken into account in patients with diabetes mellitus.

If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, please contact your doctor before taking this medicine.

This product contains 6 vol% ethanol (alcohol) i.e. up to 237 mg per dose, equivalent to 6 ml of beer or 2.5 ml of wine per dose. This can be harmful for those suffering from alcoholism, and is to be taken into account in pregnant or breastfeeding women, children, and high-risk groups such as patients with liver disease or epilepsy. If you accidentally more than the recommended dose, please see a doctor straight away.

Do not use after the expiry date and discard any unused linctus after 2 months of opening.

Taking other medicines

Simple linctus is unlikely to affect other medications in general. If in doubt, consult your pharmacist.
